OOC RULES
The rules in this section apply to anything that isn’t an in-character forum post. This means chat, OOC posts, private messages, and basically anything else. Breaking any of these rules is grounds for a warning. Repeated breaking of these rules is grounds for a ban, either from chat, or the site as a whole.
Major Rules
• Flaming – This refers to insulting or being hostile towards other users for any reason. It’s okay to have emotions and such, but I shouldn’t be getting frequent complaints about it.• Attempting to abuse the system in any way. This includes things like rigged fights, exploiting loopholes, or abusing a flaw in the system as a means to win a fight.
• Trolling – defined by Urban Dictionary - Being a prick on the internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the internet and, hey, you can.
• Being Argumentative/General Disrespect to other members of the forum. Basically, just don’t be a jerk to others and you’ll be fine. This is less serious than full on flaming, but is still grounds for a warning if it goes too far.
• Respect all other members. Respect, if you needed a definition, goes beyond just being polite when it is convenient. Respect refers to treating other people as if they matter, considering their personal feelings before "joking", "teasing", or doing other things that may be considered hurtful. It may be the internet, but that doesn't mean that you can disregard the feelings of others.
Minor Rules
• No swearing in excess. A bit is fine now, and it’s okay IC if the thread is marked “R”, but try to keep it to a minimum OOC and in chat.• Deliberating misleading other members about the rules or workings of the site. Minor, but if it’s chronic, it’s a problem.
• Keep up with your RPs. If people are waiting on you, try not to take more than a week.
• Don’t spam requests for a staff position. Letting us know you’re interested once is enough.
• Don’t spam for any other reasons.
