Listen to thisIt was a relatively unusual day for Razia. She tended to spend most of her days in Crocus, but she had decided it was time to head out to Warmwell, home to the guild hall of Angel Wing. She was still a relatively new member of the guild. In fact, she hadn't actually even taken her first job off the board yet. It was time to rectify that. She stopped off at Mary’s place before departing, as well as Bob’s General Store. That was one of the major advantages of living in Crocus. Sure, it was expensive, but she could buy anything she needed on the way out of town. That convenience was worth every penny. From Mary, Razia bought two loaves of bread. The shopping trip at Bob’s was a bit more extensive than just some bread. She picked up a standard adventurer’s kit, a compass, and a basic map of the area. Much to the dragon slayer’s delight, there was one odd item that caught her eye was a vial labeled “M Attractant.” Bob told her that it was used to attract monsters, and that while it may not see smart at first, it can be useful when applied creatively. Partially out of curiosity, and partially because it might be useful for messing with the Rune Knights, Razia bought a vial. Between Bob and Mary, Razia had managed to blow 3,800 jewels in only a few minutes. It didn’t matter greatly. She still had plenty of money in the bank. All of her new purchases were loaded into the backpack, and the waterskin was filled up to the brim. With the shopping complete, she headed out on the way to Warmwell. It was a fair day, not too warm, and not too cold. The sun shone brightly in the sky, and birds could be heard in the distance as Razia meandered towards the village that was home to Angel Wing’s headquarters. The journey there took almost the entire day, but it was worry free. The road between Warmwell and Crocus was well paved and patrolled since it was a major supplier of food to the bustling urban capital. Encountering anything out of the ordinary was highly unlikely there. The trip did take a bit of time though. It was late afternoon by the time Razia had left, despite the fact that she left early in the morning. Her waterskin had long since been depleted, and she’d all but finished a loaf of bread. She stopped to fill the waterskin at a quaint stone well before continuing on. Her destination was the church in the corner of town. It wasn’t that Razia was heading there to pray; she wasn’t especially religious. This church was no longer a place of worship. It had been repurposed into a guild hall for Angel Wing. Most of the original church furniture was still in place, at least in the main room. The only major difference in the sanctuary was that a cork bulletin board had been hung on the wall near the door. It was practically empty, save one job. The reward was a meager 2,000 jewels, but it was all that was available. The guild hall was eerily quiet. Part of this was owed to the small size of Angel Wing as a guild, but the empty job board indicated that everyone else was probably out on a job somewhere. Since it was getting late, Razia decided to go pass out on one of the pews for the night. It wasn’t as good as a bed, but it was definitely better than the stone floor. Camping out might have been a better idea in all honesty though. She awoke early the next morning. Her body was sore and her hair was even messier than usual. None of this really bothered her. A little soreness was fine, and Razia wasn’t the type to care about her appearance. She checked the job flier that she had ripped off the board last night and referenced her map. The job was a simple one: go deal with an animal problem over in Dalleyham. It was rather vague, but it was all she had to go on. Because Razia had gone to bed so early last night, the sun wasn’t even up yet. It was probably around 6am when she departed for Dalleyham. Based on what the map showed, Dalleyham was about a day’s walk away. A usual day’s worth of walking was only 8 hours, so Razia would be there before supper if she hustled. Assuming that nothing disturbed her plan of “walk in a straight line towards Dalleyham” she arrived there around 4pm. The walk would have been a relatively easy one. The terrain in this area was grassland populated with slowly rolling hills so it was pretty easy to walk through. The only thing that was a pain in the butt was that now she was out of food. She'd forgotten to buy anything extra in Warmwell, but she could probably manage to scrounge up something before leaving... in theory. Dalleyham was a small farming village, and Razia looked completely out of place. With her gray military fatigues and pack, she looked like she belonged in some urban warzone. Even though she had decided to open the jacket up and let her crimson tanktop show through, it didn’t really help her fit in. The houses in this village were simple conical formations of sticks with small openings for entrances. Everything about this village looked like a horribly poor joke. The livestock was fenced in with rope strung between a few posts and the fields of crops didn’t even have straight rows. To make it worse, all the resident’s appeared to be wearing canvas sacks for clothing. Razia missed the bustling efficiency of Crocus already. She had no clue how to track animals, so that wasn’t an option at all. Heck, she didn’t even know what type of animal she was supposed to be going after. Then she remembered what the first step on any job was supposed to be: meeting the client. The only problem with this job is that she had no clue who had requested it. She tried getting the attention of a few villagers politely, but they all ignored her. As Razia grew frustrated, she began to crackle with electrical energy. Sparks jumped around her body and her sandy hair stood up on end. “Doesn’t anyone even know who requested help with the animal problem?” she yelled. Razia wasn’t especially rowdy, but a humanoid bolt of lightning screaming at the whole village was sure to get someone’s attention. ”Uuuuuuuuuuuuugh” Raygin groaned as he leaned against a tree. He ended up just falling right on his butt instead of actually standing. The young man growled and slammed his hands into his forehead. ”Stupid stupid stupid…” Was all Ray could say. ”A-all of our food…g-gone…HOW!? CHACHA DEMANDS TO KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED!?” Came a younger voice. Raygin moved his hands and looked at the young Shakalaka that was stomping his foot beside Ray. ”I’m sorry Chacha…I did not expect this to happen. That bird…got me off guard…” Ray confessed. The young creature jumped on Rays chest and grabbed him by the collar. ”A bird! A BIRD STOLE OUR FOOD!! W-what are we going to do Raygin!? Chacha needs his two hour snacks!” Chacha cried. Ray pushed Chacha off of him and let out a groan. So, what exactly happened? Ray and Chacha had been walking along the road, no problems. In fact, it had been a perfect day. Ray was happy to be getting to his next destination soon. Chacha was just happy being Chacha. The two were having fun traveling, talking, joking, and just having a good time. That all ended when Ray heard a caw and felt a weight on his carrying sack. Ray heard Chacha shout in surprise and when Ray turned around, a huge black bird was rummaging through his bag. Both Ray and Chacha lunged at the bird, but it did not go well. Ray was wearing the bag so when he lunged it just moved the bird out of his way so he ended up headbutting Chacha. The little Shakalaka lay on the ground crying and rolling around as Ray finally got his pack off. He grabbed at the bird again only to have the crow suddenly breath fire at him. That caught Ray off guard, causing him to lean to the left and falling to his side. The bird smirked at him before it took as much food as it could from Rays pack and flew away. Ray and Chacha chased the bird down the road before it vanished in the distance. And now here the two where, sitting and groaning. ”Chacha must know! Chacha must know if the big bad bird got all the food! TELL CHACHA!!” Chacha cried. Raygin growled and stood up quickly. ”Chacha! Be quiet!!” Raygin shouted. He was not in the mood to listen to Chacha being selfish. Chacha gave Ray a surprised look before pointing at him. ”Go! Get me food!” Chacha ordered before crossing his arms. ”Chacha needs sustenance before he can continue on his adventure to see the world!” Chacha said. Rays left eye twitched before he brought his leg up and stomped on Chacha. The little guy let out a pained ”CHAAAA” as he was hit. Ray then picked him up and began to walk. Chacha is right though. I am not 100% sure we will make it to the next town with what we have left. We are lucky to have even what is left. One of us is going hungry tonight. Ray thought to himself as he walked. Before long, Chacha was back to his old self and resting on Rays shoulder. Both of them were talking for a tad bit, consulting what they were going to do. Ray convinced Chacha that they did have enough remaining food for the night which actually did little to calm Chacha down. He was over reacting to the shortage of food and also saying how he wanted to eat the bird. Actually, both he AND Ray wanted to eat that bird. It looked tasty. The road the two walked on seemed to be a commonly used road cut straight through a wooded area. Tiretracks and footprints on the trail let Ray know that this was a very commonly used road. Ray and Chacha continued traveling down the road for another good couple of hours until the sun was beginning to dip down into the horizon. ”Let’s set up camp for the night and come up with a new plan, alright Chacha?” Ray asked his companion. ”Chacha wishes for a camp!” Chacha said. Ray and Chacha stopped by what looked to be a clearing beside the road. There were not as many trees in the clearing giving Ray enough room to set up both his tent and a fire. Ray spent a few minutes setting up the tent with Chacha, who just had to play with the tent poles. It took a bit longer than needed, but the two finally managed to pitch up the tent. Ray set up his bedroll, and a child sized one for Chacha. Ray exited the tent and removed his robe, as well as his sword, and put it in the tent. Ray was wearing his basic clothing, minus the bandages. Ray got to work on making a fire pit, while Chacha played with some sticks. It took Ray a few minutes, but he managed to get a fire going. Ray smiled and sat down beside the fire. It was a nice feeling to finally sit down after a long day of walking. Ray smiled and enjoyed the warmth the fire was giving off. He leaned over and pulled his pack over and began to rummage through it. He pulled out what remained of the food. Half an apple, three pieces of jerky, and the canteens of water. ”Chacha! Come on over here…Chacha? What are you doing?” Ray asked as he suddenly looked at the little creature. Chacha was running towards Ray with a arm full of mushrooms. ”Raygin! Look what Chacha found! We have food for the night!” ”Uuuuh Chacha could you put those down? Seriously, put them down. Now.” Ray told him. Chacha quickly put them down, actually he dropped them. ”Chacha, you can’t just eat mushrooms. Some of them can really make you ill, even kill you. You gotta be more careful. There are even some mushrooms that will make you grow more mushrooms outta your body.” ”Really? That doesn’t sound good. HEY! You got some food?””Yeah, it isn’t much. So, do you want the apple and a piece of jerky?” Ray asked. Chacha quickly shook his head. ”No no no no no! Chacha demands each and every piece of meat.” Chacha spoke. ”No. You can have either have the apple and a piece of meat, or both pieces of meat.” Ray offered. ”Chacha demands all the meat because Chacha is the most deserving!” The little creature spoke. Ray gave him a dumbfounded look. ”And I’m the one who gets the food. So how does that make you more deserving?” Raygin asked. ”Chacha deserves more because Chacha is Chacha.” Chacha then reached for the food, attempting to snatch it away from Ray. ”Nope!” Ray said as he gave Chacha a decent uppercut , sending the Shakalaka into the air. Ray took a bite into the apple, enjoying the taste of the sweet fruit. Chacha began to get up, and Ray handed him the pieces of jerky. Chacha blinked a few times and looked at Ray. The man smiled and shook the jerky towards Chacha. The little creature took them Thank you Raygin.” He said as he began to eat. Ray smiled as Chacha dug into his food, and Ray finished off the remained of his apple. Ray took a swig from his canteen and offered it to Chacha so he could have a drink as well. The Shakalaka took a drink and handed it back to Ray. ”Chacha wants to know, what is the plan Ray? You didn’t really tell me where we are going.” He asked. Ray smiled and took another drink of water. ”Well, we are heading to a town called Dalleyham. I heard they are having some troubles with wild animals so I thought we could head on over and give them a hand. They will be so grateful we will probably be paid and even given a free dinner and place to sleep!” Raygin told him. Chacha tilted his head. ”Where did you hear about this?” Chacha asked ”Remember that last town we were in when we stayed at the inn? Well you were asleep in the room and I was still in the main room. I was thirsty and wanted a drink and ended up talking with the inn owner. I asked her if there was any work around and though she said no, she did tell me about this place we are heading. Seems the animals have been causing quite a bit of trouble, enough that even the inn keeper knew about it. So, that is why we are heading that way.” Raygin told Chacha. ”How do you even know we will get paid? What if it is already taken care of?” Chacha asked. Ray just shrugged and looked up at the night sky. ”So what? Even if I don’t get paid I will at least have the satisfaction of knowing I helped them out.” Ray told Chacha. ”You are such a sucker Raygin…” Chacha suddenly said. Ray quickly glared at him and Chacha backed up. ”W-what I mean is…with an attitude like that Raygin could be easily taken advantage of.””I aint going to do something I do not agree with Chacha.” Ray told him. Chacha relaxed and sat down beside Ray. The two sat in silence, just relaxing and enjoying each others companionship. ”Chacha is sleepy…” Chacha said and got to his feet. Ray smiled at him and got to his feet. He decided to head to sleep with his friend. Ray put out the fire and crawled into the tent. He removed his shoes and put them to the side of his tent with his pack and curled up into his bedroll. Chacha kicked him the side, making Ray elbow him. The two eventually got settled. ”Goodnight Raygin. ”Goodnight Chacha.” Ray replied. {Morning music} When morning came Raygin let out a long yawn. He rubbed his eye and moved his hair out of the way. Long hair was annoying at times. Ray sat up and looked to his left. Chacha was still asleep, typical. Chacha was a late sleeper if he got the chance. Raygin sure did envy that. The man leaned forward and unzipped the tents entrance and crawled out. He let out a yawn as he looked around. The morning light made everything look peaceful. Everything was covered in dew and it smelt fresh. Ray stepped behind a tree and lowered his pants a little. He did his morning urination before heading back to the tent. At the moment all Ray had on was his pants. His hair was unbound so it fell down past his waist. He really needed to cut it, and soon. Without a shirt on the world could see how horrific Raygins body was. Sure, his body was muscular but what made it horrific where the scars and injuries. Rays arms were covered in various scars of all shapes and sizes. He had a X shaped one slightly below his left shoulder. An extremely long one along his right forearm which was intersected by a bite mark. Rays mid body had even worse wounds. There was a massive bite wound on the right side of his body which served as a constant reminder of the dangers of what Ray hunted. A long scar ran down his back, a accidental wound his father dealt him in his childhood during a sparring match. Another one was a horrific burn scar that covered the area over his heart. Ray heard a sound inside the tent and turned towards it. Chacha had woken up and stepped out of the tent. ”Morning Chacha. How did you sleep?” Ray asked. ”Chacha slept well. Chacha dreamed of donuts. Is there anything to eat Raygin?” Chacha asked. ”No, sorry, there isn’t. There is water though, and we have about three hours before we get Dalleyham. I will get us something to eat by the time we get there.” Raygin assured him. They spent about an hour disassembling the tent and getting ready to travel again. Ray and Chacha took a few drinks from a canteen and after they were ready, they took to the road. The two of them did not have much to say, mainly because it was morning. After around three hours of walking Ray and Chacha made it to the outside of Dalleyham. ”We made it Chacha! Dalleyham dead ahead.” Raygin grinned. Chacha let out a groan. ”Chacha is hungry…” Chacha said. Ray smiled and assured him he would get them some breakfast as soon as they get into town. Ray removed his pack and rustled around in there. He pulled out a bunch of bandages and began to wrap them around his arms. ”Why do you do that?” Chacha asked. ”My scars put people off. Make people uneasy.” Raygin told him. After applying his bandages Ray and Chacha headed off into Dalleyham. Ray and Chacha blinked in surprise when they entered the village. It was not…what they expected. The buildings were extremely dinky looking, they looked to be huts made from sticks. Animals were fenced in with frail rope, and the crops looked horrible. This village was a farming village, and not a very good one it seemed. The people in the village all wore canvas sacks which made them look extremely poor. ”Hey…Chacha.” ”Yeah?” ”These people…might need more help than we do…” Raygin whispered to Chacha. The Shakalaka nodded and they walked into the village. Ray walked right up to a villager, who looked at Ray in surprise. ”Hey! Do you know any place a traveler can spend some money on some food? My friend and I ran into a little trouble on the road and need something to eat. We have money, and willing to pay.” Ray told the man. He pointed to a slightly larger shack. Ray nodded and thanked him and headed over towards the shack. When inside Ray noticed it was some sort of shop. A very small one. The man behind the counter seemed surprised to see Ray. Probably so since his shop probably did not get any business. Ray bought he and Chacha some bread. They ate the breads and sighed happily. ”Now then Chacha, lets go see if we can find these animals.” Raygin told Chacha. The Shakalaka nodded and followed behind Ray. The young man went up to villagers and tried to question them, but they ignored him. This surprised Ray and made him frown. Ray was getting nowhere until he heard something “Doesn’t anyone even know who requested help with the animal problem?” Raygin and Chacha turned towards the sound and headed towards it. What the voice said made Ray curious. Someone was here for the same reason as Ray was. When Ray got to the scene he was greeted with a surprise. A woman that looked like a living lightning bolt. Raygin blinked and looked at her and noticed the look on people’s faces. ”Hey, you might wanna calm down lady. Scaring these people isn’t going to help you.” Raygin told her. The woman in front of him looked nice, but sexual attraction was the furthest from Raygins mind as he kept his eyes on the woman. There was a chance she could be dangerous, so Ray placed his hand on the sheath of his sword. Luckily his robe would cover his arms movement and conceal his weapon from Razia. Chacha, though, noticed what Ray was doing. ”Whoa whoa whoa! Chacha will not allow Ray to fight! Ray must get Chacha food!!” Chacha then looked at Razia and walked right up to her. ”You! Turn the sparky sparky super hair off right now! Chacha demands it!” Chacha demanded of Razia. Raygin stared right down at Chacha with a look of pure…derp. {Stats/Traits} Trait Name | Rank | Trait Type | Trait Cost | Musclebound | 1 | Body | 10 | Nimble | 1 | Body | 10 | Wilderness Survival | 3* | Mind | 5 | Wilderness Tracking | 2* | Mind | 0 | Martial Knowledge: Swords | 1 | Mind | 10 | Wild | 2 | Personality | 20 | Rowdy | 3 | Personality | 15 | Brave | 5 | Personality | 25 | Traveler | 3 | Personality | 15 | Honorable | 1 | Personality | 10 | Heterosexual | 1 | Personality | 5 | Energetic | 1 | Personality | 10 |

Music for this oneRaygin had made a number of poor decisions in attempting to deal with Razia right off the bat. The first mistake wasn’t one he could really help; he looked like a fighter. People didn’t just wrap up their arms in bandages for no reason, and cloaks weren’t exactly common among farmers. The bandages looked too extensive for injuries. Instead, they looked more like a stylistic choice. Only martial artists tended to think that kind of style was appealing, so it probably meant this guy knew how to fight. The cloak signified that he was probably used to being on the road. There was a pretty strong chance that this guy was dangerous based on his appearance. Even if he wasn’t dangerous, he definitely wasn’t from around here. The second mistake he had made was in how he addressed Razia. He had called her “lady.” While Razia is indeed a female physically, she doesn’t appreciate being reminded of this fact. She’s a complete and utter tomboy, and saying she’s proud of this is a bit of an understatement. Her voice is normally around an alto-range in pitch. Both men and women can easily fall into that vocal range, so it would be impossible to distinguish her gender solely by her voice. Her appearance was also being concealed by the Aura of the Lightning Dragon, so Ray hadn’t been able to get a perfect look at her because of the electricity arcing across her body. How exactly Ray knew Razia was female was a mystery to her. Normally, these mistakes would have led to Ray getting into a fight in pretty short order. Luckily for him, Razia was distracted by Chacha at the moment. She had never seen a Shakalaka before, so this creature was beyond bizarre to her. In fact, Razia had barely ever encountered any kind of animal. Having lived in the city for almost her entire life, she had mostly just dealt with domesticated animals and rats. The idea that there could be a sentient humanoid acorn was completely mindboggling to her. The Aura of the Lightning Dragon deactivated as she just stood there trying to figure out what this creature was. She had inadvertently agreed to Chacha’s request without even realizing it. Now that the electrical sparks had faded away, Ray would be able to get a good look at Razia. He would instantly realize that “lady” had probably been the wrong word to use. Even if her outfit was from the Age of Technology, it was pretty clear that it was military garb. Her figure was incredibly petite, and any all of her curves were completely hidden beneath her clothes. Said clothes were rather unique, especially out in a rural farming village. Razia’s outfit consisted of a large gray camouflage jacket and matching pants. Under the jacket was a red tank top that tightly clung to her chest. Despite how tight of a fit it was, her small curves couldn't be seen beneath it. A black belt held the pants up. The other end of the pants fell over a black pair of ankle-high combat boots. In back, there would be an unnoticeable bulge in the top of her pants where her B92FS rested. It was unnoticeable because the jacket covered it. Razia’s face was a mile away from ladylike; her features were androgynous, she wasn’t wearing any makeup, and her face was a slightly dirty from two days of travelling. Her hair was a sandy blonde and normally fell to just above her shoulders, but she still had a bad case of bedhead going at the moment. There wasn’t any obvious feminine quality visible on Razia at the moment. The only thing that usually gave her away was her smooth skin, but that was covered in a speckling of dirt. Perhaps Raygin would think he was mistaken about Razia’s gender since her appearance was more like that of a teenage boy than that of a woman. Several moments passed before Razia’s bewilderment regarding Chacha faded. Her mind finally processed what both Ray and Chacha had said. She decided that ignoring Chacha was probably the best course of action. He didn’t look like a threat in the slightest, but the man could be a problem. In an unusual moment of caution, Razia decided to respond to Raygin politely. “Sorry if I startled you Mister…” she paused, waiting for the man to reply with his name. Regardless of whether he did or not, she continued on. “I’m Razia, and I’m here on official Angel Wing business. It’s pretty clear that neither of us is from Dalleyham, so I’m guessing you’re here to help with the animal problem as well. Let’s call it a 50-50 reward split and work together, since I’ve got a bad feeling that us fighting would end poorly for everyone involved.”

"Please please no fighting"! Raygin and Razia would have their conversation interrupted by a young man that Raygin and Razia would recognize as one of the villagers Because of the really shabby clothing that he wore and the pitchfork in one hand. If Raygin and Razia looked past the young villager they would see a stable with a couple of horses and acknowledge that the villager was scooping up manure with the pitchfork before coming over and trying to stop the inevitable fighting."If you people are here to take care of the problem that we have in the village, then I will take you to the elder". The young villager would then turn around and start walking over to the elder’s house. If Raygin and Razia followed the villager they would end up at the elder’s door. The villager would then motion for them to enter and then proceed to go back to his duties. If Raygin and Razia entered the door they would find the elder sitting on a mat and smoking a pipe.
Looking around the room Raygin and Razia would notice that the room was sparsely furnished and that the only thing inside the house worth noting was just the elder himself. The elder would start to speak. “I take it you people are here for the job we requested. I am deeply ashamed for deceiving you but the request is false. There are no beasts that need to be dealt with. Rather it is bandits that keep taking our food supplies and a money tribute each week. For this reason we don’t have enough money to pay for services higher then dealing with beasts. With this said will you still help us?”
BOOM! CRASH! Razia and Raygin would begin to hear what would appear to be stuff breaking outside and screams from the villagers. The elder would then start speaking again in a more frantic tone. The bandits are back earlier than expected! This is no good we haven’t had time to get the tribute in order; we will be punished severely for this. Now it’s all up to Razia and Raygin to decide what they would like to do. Once Razia and Raygin choose to leave the hut they would find a classic scene of razing. The villagers were being rounded up by the band of bandits. Since there is a lot of commotion the amount that Raygin and Razia would be able to make out easily would be that about 10 bandits were rounding up the villagers in front of them and about 5 more bandits were just waiting in the middle of the village for the rest of the villagers to be herded there. Will they fight for the village or will they run and not intervene because they were deceived on the contract and now the job is too big for them to handle?

Chacha looked on at Razia as she began to power down. He nodded in satisfaction and looked back at Raygin and said ”She! She understands the greatness of Chacha. Much better than you do at least.” Chacha laughed. Raygin looked at Chacha with an irked look before looking up at Razia. He was relieved to see that this person had powered down their magic. Ray smiled and waved and then blinked. Why did he call this person a girl? Now that Ray thought about it this person looked a little like a guy and a little like a girl. But he looked way more like a girl in Rays eyes. So, Ray would continue to refer to Razia as a girl unless told otherwise.
When the woman talked Ray smiled and removed his arms from his clock and crossed his arms. ”It’s nice to meet you Razia. My name is Raygin. Raygin Akamaru. And you’re right, I aint from around here. I’m something of a traveler you could say and yes I am here to help out with the animal problem. A inn a couple of miles away let me know about this place so here I am here to help.” Ray said as he took a breath. ”Split the reward? Why not I don’t mind.” Ray said with a grin. ”Hold on! Chacha is not okay with splitting the money! Chacha deserves all the money!!” Chacha hollered before Ray stepped on him and pushed him into the ground.
”Chacha shut up.” Raygin said to him as he ground Chacha into the ground despite the Shakalakas protest. Raygin was about to say something again when there was a new voice that interrupted what he was going to say. Raygin turned his head and looked at the youth who spoke to him. ”I don’t think we were going to fight…” Raygin said with a slight smile. When the man said to follow Raygin followed who was followed by Chacha who was coughing up dirt.
Ray followed the man into the hut and eyed the elder sitting inside. He looked like what a village elder should look like. Ray walked in and leaned against the wall nervously since he did not want to fall through it. He listened quietly to what the village said and blinked in surprise. Chacha, who was sitting right in front of the elder, had no sort of response. ”So…the mission was falsely advertised because of the money situation and is far worse than it actually is? Oh man….I was hoping I would get to keep what I killed though…” Raygin complained. So Ray crossed his arms and pondered the situation. He then smiled and nodded. ”Don’t worry grandpa, I am gonna stay and help you.” Ray said with a grin.
”B-but Raygin! The money isn’t enough…FOOD!” Chacha objected, which resulted in Ray stepping on his face. Ray was going to say something when he heard the commotion outside. He turned and looked outside and saw what was happening. He quickly side stepped and presses himself against the wall to hide himself from view then looked at Razia. ”Hey! What do you think we should do?” Ray asked in a whisper.

Razia said nothing further as the villager interrupted them. There was no need to respond to Raygin. He had agreed to work together, and that was all that was needed. The little creature, which was apparently named Chacha, didn’t look like it was of any consequence. Razia continued to ignore it. The Lightning Dragon Slayer calmly followed the villager and “traveler” over to the elder’s hut ant entered it. The two mages taking the request were informed that it was not monsters they would be dealing with, but bandits. This seemed to trouble Raygin a bit. Apparently he lived off what he killed or some such nonsense. Razia was just here because it was a job. What she had to beat up to complete the job didn’t matter much. Ray responded with: ”Don’t worry grandpa, I am gonna stay and help you,” while Razia simply nodded in agreement. Music for the ActionIt was only a moment after those words were spoken that a considerable ruckus started outside. The elder clarified that this was the bandits, and that was all the info Razia needed. She was going to make sure these bandits wouldn’t come back ever again. It was clear to her why this village was so poor now. Wild animals couldn’t be responsible for so much impoverishment. These bandits had probably been milking this village dry for years and years. It wasn’t permissible. Angel Wing was a guild dedicated to justice, and this Angel was ready to enforce it. If the bandits were responsible for driving this village this far into poverty, their crimes were in the category of completely despicable. The punishment would be death. Before Raygin could even ask his question of Razia, she had already disappeared out onto the street. She was aglow with electricity once more, and her face showed nothing but rage. While Razia wasn’t very skilled in being intimidating, her presence right now would be enough to strike fear into the hearts of any weak-willed bandits. In a fluid motion that was likely faster than ye average bandit could follow, Razia drew gun and stepped forward towards the bandits once. With a bang, a bullet left the barrel of her B92FS, headed straight for the forehead of the nearest bandit. There was only about 25 feet between the door of the hut and the nearest bandit, so it was a pretty easy shot. Considering the bullet moved at a speed of 25, it would likely be hard for the bandit to avoid getting shot in the head. Whether or not the bullet found its mark was irrelevant. Razia followed up with some words for the bandits. “If you leave now, you can live. If you stay, you die.” It was a simple message, devoid of anything that didn’t need to be there. While Razia wasn’t the most intimidating mage in the world, she certainly should be more than enough to scare off a few bandits. She was the type that knew exactly what to do and say to strike fear into someone’s heart. She wasn’t especially skilled, but she definitely had a knack for it that most did not. Most of the bandits probably couldn’t even use magic, so the fact that Razia was glowing with electricity probably helped her case quite a bit. Deep down, Razia wanted to kill each one of the bandits. It was the only way to ensure that they never did any more harm to this village. Sadly, there was a near zero percent chance that she could survive taking them all on at once. Even if this traveller was strong, they wouldn’t be able to take on 15 bandits all by themselves. That’s why she had tried this attempt at merely scaring most of them off. If it was successful, they’d hopefully be left with a more manageable number of bandits to deal with. If she was lucky enough for this to work, Razia might just be able to walk away from this job in one piece. {Proper Traits: I derped in my own system.} Trait Name | Ranks | Cost | Type of Trait | Faster Than a Speeding Bullet | 2 | 20 | Body | Nimble | 0+1 (Gear) | 0 | Body | Intimidate | 0+2* | 0 | Body | Acrobatic | 1 | 2 | Body | Durable | 1 | 1 | Body | Bedrocker | 5 | 5 | Mind | Martial Knowledge: Jun Fan Jeet Kun Do

Razia’s gunshot to the forehead of the nearest bandit did indeed find its mark. The bandit’s good fortunes in raiding this village ran out when the magic bullet passed through his head and embedded into one of the nearest huts. Blood spewed everywhere and brain matter sprayed out of the bullets exiting hole at the same time the bullet left his cranium. This caused the bandit to have a spectacular death scene that his fellow bandits will always remember and most probably haunt their dreams for a long time. But alas he is now dead with no hope of returning to life. The sound of the gunshot brings the attention of all the other bandits. The ones that were rounding up the villagers after hearing the gunshot and watching the fellow bandit’s death scene listen to what Razia said and start running to the middle of the village. And the bandits running was an understatement they practically ran each other over trying to get away from Razia and her fearsome gun slinging. However once the majority of the bandits get to the middle of the village Razia and Raygin who is still in the elders hut would hear a bellowing voice that caused the other bandits too stop fleeing. “Hold your ground you bunch of sleazy maggot spewing yellow belly mongrel fodder. It’s just a little scrawny girl with a gun, you are bandits now act like it or I will kill you myself”. Razia and Raygin if he chooses to step out of the elders hut would see that the man who just shouted to his fellow bandits was a staggering 7”5 roughly 300 pound man that looked like he was all muscle and no flabby parts whatsoever on his body. He continues to yell at Razia since he cannot see Raygin as of yet. “Run along before you get hurt little girl this is a dangerous place and you might trip and get hurt”. The leader continues to jest at Razia and comes to a realization. “I know, you’re probably one of those guild people and you want us to stop what we are doing because it’s bad”. “If you would walk over here so I can stop shouting I will make you a deal “. At this point the leader crosses his arms and waits. If Razia walks over and listens to what the leader has to say, this is what he says. “If you can defeat one of my 4 crewmates here we will leave and never bother this village again heck we will even give back the goods and treasure that we took from them the last time”. He continues on speaking. “However if you lose then we will take everything you have as well and tie you up naked in the streets for everyone to see. Also if you choose to run all 4 of my crewmates with hunt you down and kill you. Now what is your answer? After this statement Razia can either pick one of the four or even try and anger the leader into fighting her himself. There are five altogether in a line starting from the left we have a scrawny looking dude with a pointed hat and a staff. Next is what we would call a linebacker build of a man with two war axes. In the middle is the leader of course who we have already described. Next up is a female with leather armor a couple of knifes and a loaded crossbow. Finally we have a handsome looking fellow that has a lance and some spiked gauntlets on. (OOC) depending on who you pick I will put up the traits for. But for now the suspense of you figuring out which one to fight…or maybe all of them at the same time is awesome

Raygin, honestly, could not believe what Razia just did. There had to be at least five full grown men standing outside, and this androgynous person just walked right out without giving a crap. The complete lack of planning had caught Raygin off guard, and the sound of the gunshot and her command made him groan. ”No plan…” was all he could say. It wasn’t that he was scared of the bandits, no, that was the farthest from the truth. The problem was the numbers. There was five of them, and two of them, and probably even more bandits around. Bandits never travelled alone. Chacha had dug himself out of the ground and was hiding on the other side of the wall and peeking out. ”What should we do Raygin?” The Shakalaka asked.
Ray just sighed. There was no way he could let Razia do this by herself, his pride wouldn’t let him. He heard the bandits offer and had a sinking suspicion that they might try to pull something. So Ray stepped out of the hut and went to stand behind Razia. Ray looked at the bandits before giving them a smile and waving. ”Hiya! Listen, if it isn’t too much trouble could ya leave this village alone? Seriously, look at them then look at yourselves. Look back at the village then back to yourselves. You guys are fat and healthy, these people are starving and sick. Where is the pride, the fun, in ransacking a desolate place like this? There isn’t any thrill. You’re basically just stealing from a bunch of sickly babies.” Raygin told them.
Chacha came out behind Ray and climbed up on his shoulder. This was a odd site. You had a young man wearing a full body cloak, with bandages on his face and red eyes, with a Shakalaka sitting on his shoulder. Raygin cast a glance to each of the bandits and said ”So does this offer apply to me as well?” Raygin asked them. He wasn’t going to let Razia fight by herself, and he wasn’t going to let the job get done without his help. ”The great Chacha will fight the fattest one right now! You have no chance against the great and wonderful Chacha! Not you fatty, not any of you!” Chacha hollered. ”Shut up Chacha!” Raygin shouted. ”No! You shut up the Great Chacha demands you hush and be awed by my greatne-Ray what are you doing!?” Chacha screamed as Ray proceeded to punt him over the bandits and into the woods.

{Play This} One bandit down… and several more on their way out. Everything looked like it was going pretty damn well for Razia. Her first shot had found its mark. That, combined with her words, had been enough to frighten the grunts plenty, so she deactivated her aura to conserve energy. Unfortunately, Razia’s luck ran out almost immediately. One of the larger bandits started yelling, and everyone else stopped running away. It looked like the leader had come out to play. His figure was a sight to behold. He was way taller than everyone else there and his body was a mountain of muscle. He definitely looked tough, but Razia was confident in her abilities. She could take him. The bandit leader wasted little time. He continued yelling, which wasn’t so bad by itself. What sealed his fate was the fact that he made the mistake of referring to Razia as “little girl.” This man had insulted Razia’s gender, stature, and fighting prowess, all in one sentence. Somehow, she managed to keep her cool and let the bandit leader finish his sentence without putting a round through his forehead. She was completely outnumbered. She had to play this safe. That was the plan at least, but the bandit leader once said something that pushed Razia’s mood even further south. “I know, you’re probably one of those guild people…” The rest of his sentence never made it to the Lightning Dragon Slayer’s ears. He had no clue what he was dealing with. Razia did manage to pick up the end of his last sentence though. She quickly strode over to the bandit leader, curious what he had in mind. After hearing his proposal, Razia knew it was too good to be true. Fighting one of his crewmembers wouldn’t be enough to convince the bandits to leave. Nothing less than the leader himself would suffice. Chances are, if she could beat the bandits’ leader, the rest of them would be scared enough to back down, deal or no deal. The consequences if she lost or fled didn’t matter since neither of those would be happening. Her choice was clear. The leader had insulted her, and the leader was the one to beat. She could actually justify choosing to beat the crap out of the leader over fighting a grunt that was sure to be weaker. Just as the Angel had reached her conclusions, the traveler she had met earlier decided that interrupting would be a great plan. He started babbling about body-weight, pride, and fun, as if that would convince the bandits to leave. Was this guy insane? Shit, how was she going to play off this new variable? She clearly couldn’t just do a one on one fight anymore, as it was clear that this cloaked man was planning to join in on the battle. Only one option seemed to make any kind of sense. She’d have to incorporate both the bandit leader and one other bandit into the fight, and turn it into some kind of two on two brawl. As per usual, Razia continued to ignore the blabbering creature that the cloaked figure had with him. It was pretty clear that creature wouldn’t be an important part of this fight. “So, here’s the way I see this Mr. Bandit. I’ve got myself, and a second here. Between the two of us, I’m the leader, and you’re clearly the leader for your side. Whaddaya say we have ourselves a good old fashioned two on two fight. Leader versus leader, and second versus second. Nothin’ but our fists either. No magic to complicate this test of strength. I don’t think my friend is going to back down, even if I tell him to, so this seems like the best solution to me.” The Lightning Dragon Slayer paused for a moment to let this offer sink in. “Of course, if you don’t want to fight me, I totally understand. No one wants to get their ass kicked by a little girl after all,” she finished with a wink. Hopefully this little taunt would be enough to goad the bandit into agreeing to her terms, and hopefully Ray wouldn’t cause any problems with this plan. Razia had been very careful in crafting this contest. She couldn’t use any offensive spells yet, so the no-magic condition would work hugely in her favor. Sure, the bandit leader had a lot more muscle on him than she did, but Razia was a practitioner of Jun Fang Jeet Kun Do. She wasn’t going to lose a hand to hand bout with some thug just because he was bigger or stronger. The only way this would work out poorly was if the mysterious traveler wasn’t anywhere near as good as the Angel took him for.

“Of course, if you don’t want to fight me, I totally understand. No one wants to get their ass kicked by a little girl after all,” Razia sealed the bandit leader’s fate with that one sentence. If she had said anything else to try and taunt the Leader into fighting then it would not have worked like she wanted it too. However with that one sentence Razia sent the other bandits into fits of laughter and mockery of the bandit leader saying stuff along the lines of him being scared of a girl as well as he couldn’t call himself the bandit leader if he let the girl win. Much more was yelled out but it was all silenced with a rough yell. “SHUT UP” was all the bandit had to say to silence the howling mob of bandits. “If this little pipsqueak of a girl wants to fight the big man himself then she can fight me”. He then looks back at Razia and still talking in a loud voice so everyone can hear. “But when I’m done picking your crumpled and broken body from off the ground I will throw you to the pack to do whatever they want with you. How would you like that boys, you want to play with her?" This gets the mob catcalling and looking at Razia as if she was a piece of meat to devour. “Burben the boy wants to play go have fun don’t beat him to quickly I want to watch after I get done with this girl of his” the leaders says with a sideways nods towards Ray. This sets the big linebacker bandit on a straight line towards ray swinging his two axes as he runs. The leader motions for the other bandits to make a ring around both him and Razia so they can brawl without getting in the way of the fight of Burben and Ray. If Razia and Ray allow this then they will be separated. It’s a lose lose situation, if they let themselves become separated then they will not have the help of the other one, but if they don’t allow themselves to be separated by the mob of weak bandits then who knows what disaster that could bring. If that doesn’t send Razia into a killing frenzy then nothing would. However if she keeps her cool then she and Ray would find a couple minutes later that the other bandits except for the linebacker bandit who was on a bee line straight for Ray the 4 was encircling Razia so that she may fight the leader This ring was only about 30 feet in diameter but that’s all that was called for in a slug match. The leader then would make his way into the ring and goes into a defensive position with his arms in front of his chest and slightly raised to help cover his head much like the defensive position of a pro boxer. Then he proceeds to say “let’s see what you got princess” and waits for a response. Raygin blinked a few times when he was addressed by the bandit leader as a "boy". Correction! Ray was a man and probably more of a man than this guy was. How did dad put it? A mans bravery, experiences, and penis size always made one the bigger man. Yet Ray always questioned why the size of the peeing thing made one a bigger man, which always just made Garret laugh. That also lead to the odd question of a younger Ray asking his dad why his peepee was so short if Garret was such a man. But! This was not the time or the place to be thinking about his dads weirdness, no, Raygin needed to get his head into the game. Raygin looked at the bandit charging him with two axes. The bandit was like a rampaging bull deadset on running Ray through. He was running straight, probably as fast he could, in a full set of heavy armor save for his head. The two axes in his hand were swinging wildly with no actual pattern or path.
Raygin reached into his cloak and slid his hand underneath the collar. As the man got closer Ray ducked which slid the cloak over his head. He then threw the cloak at the man. Since the bandit was running straight, at probably his highest speed, the cloak would strike him in the face and impede his vision. The cloak was heavier than it looked since it was made of a leather like substance. Raygin took that opportunity to dash to the side of the bandit and pull Townsaver free from its sheathe. Ray wasted no time and struck at the bandits arm pit {Damage = 21}. It didn't matter if this guy was wearing heavy armor, the arm pit was always a weak spot. If the entire set of armor was solid then movement would be impared. Thats why armors always left arm pits less defended, so as not to hinder arm motion to much.
After that strike Raygin hopped backwards about three times, giving him about twenty two feet of breathing room from the bandit. He gripped Townsaver with both arms and held it in a way that would allow him to react appropriately to whatever the bandit would do next. Well, almost anything. The sword stance Ray had taken would allow a near instant shift to either defense or assault. This stance showed that Ray knew what he was doing with his sword, letting anyone looking know that Raygin was skilled with a sword. As Ray stood there he was thinking of what to do. Well...this is just a treat aint it? I came here expecting to fight animals not bandits. Well, these guys are basically animals so I suppose that I am fighting animals...no wait focus Raygin! This guy is wearing heavy armor and dual wielding axes. I really wish I brought my armor. But even with it I am at a disadvantage. Fighting people isn't really what I am good at...[/i] Raygin thought to himself as he watched the bandit. This wasn't like hunting. No, Ray would have to carefully watch and respond appropriately to what this man would do.

Perfect. Razia's plan had gotten her the exact result she wanted. The leader had agreed to her conditions without questioning them. Of course, this was owed to Razia's quick thinking. The nature of her challenge created a condition in which her plan was sure to succeed. The bandit leader could not possibly step down from the challenge so long as he would lose face with his men. The result was indeed desirable actions, but the words within them caused Razia's blood to boil evermore. The leader had insinuated that he would defeat Razia, and the Lightning Dragon Slayer wasn't ready to believe he could manage that. Worse still, the leader's words implied that Razia would be raped if she lost. This was a consequence that she was unwilling to accept. The situation left only one option: win.
Razia watched calmly as the ring of bandits circled around both the leader and herself. The cloaked man would be on his own against the crazed axe wielder, but that wasn't Razia's concern. Her goal was to get the bandits to leave, and that would be accomplished by defeating the leader. As far as she was aware, the outcome of the other brawl didn't matter. Her mind was entirely on her own predicament. This bandit leader, despite his status, didn't seem to be that powerful. His movements were a bit slower than Razia's own, and he seemed to be a little slow to react thus far.
It would appear that the Angel would have to make the first move, and she would be happy to do so. The leader's last jab at her, calling her “Princess,” had pushed her over the edge. Having grown up in a street gang, rape jokes were something she was used to. Being called Princess was not exactly something she was used to. That novelty was the last straw. At this point, the leader was already in a boxing stance, and this told Razia she wouldn't have to try too hard to win. A boxing stance either meant he was a trained boxer or an untrained brawler. Boxers only knew how to use half their body, and brawlers didn't know hot to use any of it. He might be strong and he might be decently fast, but he wouldn't be on par with a trained martial artist.
Her plan of attack was a simple one. She was still holding her pistol, but that was against the conditions she had set. Her B92FS was replaced in the back of her pants, and her jacket was discarded to the ground. The baggy attire would only get in her way while fighting. Now her toned arms were exposed to the air, and judging by appearances alone, it would be clear that Razia was no princess. She was a fighter, through and through. With that done, she slowly advanced towards the bandit leader. She did not need a fighting stance, for Jeet Kun Do taught one to be able to fight from any position. It was likely that her calmness might unnerve the leader. Upon reaching kicking range of the bandit leader, her focus was entirely on her own defense. Her attack was a simple front snap kick aimed for the bandit leader's left leg (29 speed, 21 damage potential). It wasn't an attack meant to end anything, but rather, it was an attack designed to test the waters and make sure her anger hadn't clouded her judgments too much.

(OOC)(good thinking Ray going for a main artery in the armpit the consequences are superb) The armpit thrust that Ray did had more of an affect then he thought. Burben screamed in pain since a major artery was severed. This led him to drop and roll on the ground until he bled to death. Once the leader saw what happened to Burben and since he knew that Burben was a lot tougher then himself he knew that ray would try and go for him next with Razia. Even while the leader saw this so did every bandit there. They all got scared and started to run away from the village in anyway that they could. When the leader saw that the rest of his party was retreating the same instance that Razia was slowly making her way towards the leader he kicked up dirt to hopefully blind Razia and made a dash out of the village screaming that he would get his revenge one day. Once the bandits were gone out of the village for good the village leader would walk up to both Razia and Ray. “You have done our village a great service even though we tricked you into believing it was only wild animals. We will forever be in your debt”. All the villagers shouted and cheered when the village elder ended talking and then went on to repair the parts of the village that was destroyed.
