A tall figure in a long red cloak sat idly in the main hall of the hidden Blackmist headquarters, swirling a mug of strong ale. People would sometimes come up to him, but he'd generally just ignore them or utter a deep and guttural growl. Those weaker of heart simply scurried off, those who were a bit tougher decided to just leave him alone, usually. This particular day, as he downed his ale and let it fall, roughly, to the table, he had a small moment of clarity. "Rent's due in a few days... Better get moving, then." Picking himself up off the bench, he made his way over to the job board to glance over the ones that he was allowed to do. There was a very poor selection of the D-ranked missions, mostly involved some charitable act. Aro, however, was not a charitable guy. Grumbling his way through most of them, he finally just up and ripped one off the board. Something about saving a village from wild animals. "It's for the money, and the carnage." On his way out, he considered that he might want someone to tag along, give him a hand. Though he was more of a loner, he really wasn't strong enough in magics to be able to take down some opponents. He had beaten a wizard on a path a little while ago, but only because the guy was unarmored in some places. If he had been fully clad in armor, there would have been no way that Aro could have brought him down. There was a smaller figure in the room, all on her own like Aro had been. She wore an elegant suit and a pretty awesome eye patch. She seemed, reserved, undaunted by any emotional baggage. Moving his way towards her, Aro signified his presence with a snarl, as he usually did. "Hey, you. Get out of that suit and into some armor, you're coming with me to kill some beasts, got it?" The girl had a streak of courage, that much was evident, however Aro was a very scary guy. As he pressed his intimidating presence on her, she'd feel a large bit of fear, might even be enough to cause her to come with him whether she wanted to or not. {Stat/Traits} Trait Name | Rank | Type of Trait | Total Cost | Intimidation | 1 | Body | 5 | Nimble | 1 | Body | 10 | Wilderness Survival | 3* | Mind | 10 | Wilderness Tracking | 1* | Mind | 0 | Scavenger | 1 | Mind | 5 | Con Man | 2 | Personality | 20 | Heterosexual | 1 | Personality | 5 | Scary | 4 | Personality | 20 | Wicked | 2 | Personality | 20 | Wild | 1 | Personality | 10 | Traveller | 3 | Personality | 15 |

Iwamichi leaned up against the wall in the corner of the room in the Blackmist hall. She unfortunately did not feel like doing much today. She observed all the passersby with a distant glance. Sometimes it was interesting to watch the expressions of frantic people struggling to get somewhere on time, or the angry expression of a person who just got dumped with a mug of ale by some careless underling. Nothing was especially noteworthy today though. That was until a tall, dark cloaked figure appeared before her. His manner was brisk and to the point. She had no idea who this person was, yet he was commanding her to go on some mission with him. Also, he snarled at her like he was some rabid dog. "Hey, you. Get out of that suit and into some armor, you're coming with me to kill some beasts, got it?" Iwamichi couldn't express it, but she could feel a cold shiver pass through her. This guy was definitely not normal. His intimidating aura was indeed powerful.
What the heck. Who does he think he is? Kill wild beasts? He is one! No, I can't be feeling this way! Scared, me? I don't want to take orders from him, or anyone for that matter, but I can't ignore his command. Ugh, it's not fair! I feel like I'll be crushed if I don't obey. Keep it together. You have no need to get frustrated, and you don't need hate. She casually looked up at the dark man. "Fine, it'll only take a minute."
She didn't want to have to say anything more than what she had to. She was going to show him that even though she didn't have the strength to refuse him, she wasn't going to grovel at his feet. One day she will be stronger than this man. He can use as much brute force and intimidation as he wants, but she had brains on her side. If the mission went well, a reward might be in store for her. Yes, she would use her intellect to succeed and climb the ladder of power-the cold, emotionless ladder. After she changed, she met the man in the courtyard of the mansion. "Lead on then, I'll take the rear. Let's do this quickly and methodically, nothing more." {Traits/Stats} Traits:Trait Name | Rank | Type of Trait | Total Point Cost | Unending Endurance | 1 | Body | 10 | Martial Knowledge: Whip | 1 | Mind | 10 | Wilderness Survival | 3* | Mind | 10 | Wilderness Tracking | 1* | Mind | 0 | Heterosexual | 1 | Personality | 5 | Brave | 1 | Personality | 5 | Studious | 1 | Personality | 10 | Stubborn | 2 | Personality | 10 | Docile | 1 | Personality | 10 | Serious | 1 | Personality | 10 | Traveller | 2 | Personality | 10 | Energetic | 2 | Personality | 10 | Masochist | 2 | Personality | 10 | Wild | 1 | Personality | 10 |

Once Aro and Iwamichi made it out of Blackmist headquarters they would see a forest sprawling with trees and vegetation. If either of them had ever read or heard of any of the history on Blackmist (which is conveniently located in the guilds massive library on the second floor of the main guild hall) then they would know that this forest wasn’t actually a natural forest. It was transplanted here to make a sort of cover to hide where the opening to the Blackmist headquarters was at. This forest is rigged with traps and is home to monsters that have been bred and tamed by the best monster trainers that money can buy.
Even though it is dangerous in these woods, since Aro and Iwamichi are from the guild they would have known that the guild crest also acts as protection against the monsters. They do not attack anyone bearing the true mark of the Blackmist; the crest just has to be visible for its bearer to be safe, such as pulling sleeves up to show the crest on the bicep. They would have also learned how to avoid the traps when they became a member in the guild. Because of this, they are safe from the traps in the forest directly outside of the hollowed mountain that is the home of Blackmist. Upon closer examination of the contract they would know that the village was only a day north of the Blackmist headquarters. So now it’s up to Aro and Iwamichi to find their way to the village to help save them from rampaging animals.
Aro and Iwamich would roughly be arriving to the village after one full day of travel. So if they left Blackmist at say 6 in the afternoon, they would not get to the village until 6 in the afternoon of the next day. The trip wasn’t too long in the first place so they wouldn’t have any problems getting to the village. Unless they did not know which way was north or how to travel in a straight path. Upon reaching the village they would see that it was the poorest village they have ever seen. The houses were made out of sun dried mud bricks and the roof was just thatch tied into bundles and laid in a row. Even the fences which housed the village’s meager livestock were just some wood poles that were cut to fit into place to make fenced in area. When Aro and Iwamichi looked closer at the village they would notice that in some areas houses have been demolished and debris is everywhere. On the outskirts where the crops are supposed to be Aro and Iwamichi would fine significant animal footprints all over the fields that once would have had crops in them.

Once out of the mountain that hid their guild from curious eyes, Aro and Iwamichi began making their way north towards the village that they had been assigned to protect. The relative darkness of the forest was quite nice, and the pair slid effortlessly through the shade. Traps that would normally destroy intruders were held back by the now glowing symbol tattooed on Aro's neck. Normally it was hidden, but in the presence of the magical traps Aro shifted his cloak to show it and kept them at bay. Iwamichi would also be safe, of course, as she also had the magical tattoo somewhere.
Pulling a leaf off of a tree as they walked north, Aro began to suck out moisture from the plant and then chew on the remains to keep his mouth busy. It wasn't too nourishing, but it was enough to keep him from resorting to his water skin, which was better kept for desert terrain where water was scarce. For hours the two moved in silence, if Iwamichi tried to strike up a conversation she'd be met with stoic silence, maybe even an intimidating glare. Aro was a no nonsense man, and was only bringing her around for a bit of backup. Still, that eye patch was pretty interesting...
"What's the story of that eye patch?" There'd be one question, and if Iwamichi wasn't paying attention then it'd be left alone. If she answered, there would be no follow up questions, no feigned interest, no noises of pity or approval, there would just be silence and walking. Pretty soon, it would be obvious that both of them were used to walking long distances, though Aro was a fair bit better. Iwamichi would slow down a few hours before Aro, who would have to force himself to stop, for a group was only as fast as the slowest member.
"We'll rest here, then continue before dawn." Draping his red cloak around himself, he slipped off into a light slumber, ready for anything that'd spring upon them. As he woke two hours before dawn, he shook the little girl awake if she wasn't already awake, then scrounged up some nuts and berries for breakfast. Iwamichi was good at foraging too, so if she wanted to she could help. Bellies satisfied from the meager meal, the two walked the last half hour or so to the village that they were to defend from wild animal attack. It was a terribly impoverished area, houses of mud and grass and fences of just wooden poles shoved into the ground.
Some of the houses had been torn to pieces and debris was everywhere. The crops were trampled by fairly large footprints, which made tracking easier. Aro only had one thought running through his head as he surveyed the scene. "They better be able to afford our reward." Moving his way over to the crops, or rather, what was left of them, the tall red cloaked figure began to look at the damage. "These tracks aren't fresh enough, I can't follow them. I'm going into the village to talk to the leader." Leaving Iwamichi there, whether she followed him or not, he left to go into the village.

Iwamichi and the mysterious, wild man had soon set out for their small destination. The forest was thick and dense, obviously to keep any intruders at bay. But, of course Iwa and that other guy had special tattoos to deal with the hidden traps and knowledge of the forest to get out. His tattoo glowed softly on his neck underneath his cloak. Iwa had her tattoo underneath her eyepatch. If one looked closely, he/she could see it, but it was still a little difficult. She felt it was the best place to put it since she didn't have an eye there anyway. They both walked effortlessly along in silence. Neither of them seemed to want to strike up a conversation.
Then, out of nowhere that guy spoke. "What's the story of that eye patch?" he asked. So, he's interested in my eye patch? Well, giving my whole back-story would be too much of a pain and it's completely unnecessary for this mission. Maybe I can show him that I'm not just some little kid though. This eye patch is my solemn reminder.... "I gouged it out. The reason is unimportant. We have to focus on the mission." Well, even though he didn't reply he was probably a little interested.
After a while, Iwamichi found herself slowing down. Apparently, he was a better walker than she was. She wasn't going to admit it though. He abruptly stopped and then prompted her to rest. Iwa rested against a tree for a couple hours until that guy shook her awake. Together, they hunted for wild berries and Iwa tried that trick he did earlier with sucking the dew from tree leaves. They finally arrived at their destination after feeding and drinking. It was rundown and shabby to say the least. Did these people really have the money to pay them for their services?
That guy must have been thinking the same question because he said, "They better be able to afford our reward." Also, he decided to go speak with the village leader since the tracks weren't fresh enough. She decided to go with him. He probably didn't need her help, but it would be helpful if the brains of the whole mission went along in order to get the whole history and knowledge of the people. They might need it later, and it would have to fall on her to piece things together if things got out of hand. She wasn't expecting much from this village elder guy though. Just the act of "that guy" stepping into the room would probably be enough to make the elder pee his pants. I would really like to see that too.

As Aro with or without Iwamichi walk along the row of houses left they would finally come to one that has two “warriors” outside of it guarding whatever was inside. By just looking at these so called warriors Aro and Iwamichi would see that they were just scrawny farmers with some crudely made spears and longbows. Any form of coercing on the two guards would make them step abruptly aside and cast sideways glances as Aro and Iwamichi would then be able to go into the hut. If persuasion was used then there would be no seeable difference in the demeanor of the guards. However if intimidation was used then with the moving aside bit if Aro or Iwamichi looked closer they would see a liquid flowing from the pants of the guards and onto the ground. The liquid would be foul smelling and Aro and Iwamichi might become disgusted at the smell of it if they had good noses to begin with. Once stepping inside of the hut they would find a couple of harder looking people on either side of a very old man. The two people beside the old man look like persuasion or intimidation wouldn’t work on them for they have the demeanor of actual warriors. After sizing up the two men, Aro and Iwamichi would nonetheless glance over at the old man. Once Aro and Iwamichi look at the old man the old man would start talking. "You people must be the ones who accepted our contract to rid us of the beasts who terrorize our village?" Without missing a beat the old man would continue regardless of what either Aro or Iwamichi might say to that question. " Of course you youngsters are or you wouldn’t be at this dinky little village in the first place. This is great timing for the beasts will once again be coming to destroy what we have left of our village and our crops." A low rumble would then all of a sudden start happening. The elder and the two warriors would know what this means. The two warriors would then get in front of the elder and the elder would start to explain to Aro and Iwamichi that the beasts are near and that fighting would soon begin. This would be the cue for Aro and Iwamichi to head outside and see whats going on. After heading outside, Aro and Iwamichi would see at the edge of the village a row of rocklike creatures stomping and making a ruckus. If either had knowledge of monsters they would recognize them to be group of Rammarus. if they counted the group they would see 20 adults and 8 young Rammarus's. Now it’s up to Aro and Iwamichi to figure out what they want to do.

The two members of BlackMist walked down the wide road that made up the village, kicking up dust as they did. Aro was a tall, beastly looking man with long hair and a blood stained cloak. Iwamichi, though much shorter, was an emotionless woman with a ferocity born of having only one eye. The two stopped in front of the only house to be guarded, a location of obvious importance, and Aro did the talking. "You're in my way." With a wild snarl, they moved aside, their pitiful 'weapons' nearly falling apart as they did so.
As Aro forced his bestial presence on them, they desecrated their pants and the ground with their foul waste. Aro added spit to the ground in disgust of their weakness. "How pitiful." Shouldering past them, Aro forced his way into the nearly crumbling hut. Inside it was barely furnished, with a grass woven rug for a bed in the corner and a chair made up of bound sticks in the center of the room, where an old man sat. He was flanked with two bodyguards, but they were of little consequence. Drawing the contract from behind his cloak, it was thrown to the ground.
It had seemed that the beasts were to be back soon to finish off the village. They could destroy the whole place pretty easily, which wouldn't be too much of a pain for Aro save that he could use the money. And, it was important that he finished missions for the guild or they wouldn't let him get more powerful, and that would be met with nothing more than frustration on multiple parties, and maybe even a few fights would break out. No, Aro would simply do these missions his way, would get a little coin for his trouble, and work his way up the ladder. At the top, that's where the power to shape the world was found.
There was a rumble to the ground, and the bodyguards got closer to the village elder, as if they would protect him. "Don't even bother, you're better off running." Spinning around, Aro left the small hut with Iwamichi most likely trailing behind. His long arms pushed out, flinging the guards at the entrance away if they were still standing there, and he walked out to the edge of the completely pitiful village. There was a good sized herd of these large creatures that had trampled everything just waiting for the two wizards, stomping out a battle call.
It was simply instinct to have a show of force, there was nothing more than animalistic tendencies going on at this point. These were not intelligent creatures, just creatures that knew that they needed food and knew where to go for it. Aro knew about wild creatures, how they thought, because for the most part, he was one. From living in the mountains so long, he was wild and unkempt. He thought about little more than survival by way of food, and he'd use this knowledge to finish this job.
Aro and Iwa were standing approximately fifteen feet away from the row of Rammarus, unknowingly plenty within the range of site for the beasts. The main reason why they were so close is because Aro's own eyes weren't too keen, and he needed to be within twenty feet to best make out what someone looked like. Iwa, however, was much better than both wild parties, being able to see clearly at fifty feet due to her enchanted armor. Put simply, all of the members of this stand off were clearly able to see what was about to happen.
Aro went from mostly man with a hint of beast to mostly beast with a hint of man. He grew a little taller, equaling if not surpassing most of the Rammarus in height, minus their protrusions. Fur covered his body, a snout jutted out from his face equipped with fangs, and claws formed on his hands. His black hair turned white and became like a mane, with long curved horns on the top of his head sticking out of the hair. To complete the beastly visage, his skin turned purple and his clothes seemed to float off of his body in a wild manner. As the transformation ended, with a rebel yell he cried "MErRRererRR"
If it wasn't clear before, it would be clear now that Aro was the alpha male. The Rammarus would respond to the transformation, as size was the key difference between a young creature and the toughest of the pack. Iwamichi looked like the small child and Aro was the big bad alpha right now, which could be seen as a challenge. If the Rammarus were dumb, and territorial, then the alpha male of the pack would probably be drawn out to battle Aro one on one for control over the territory. If not, well, then it was a waste of effort, but still looked cooler. As an addition to the effect, the intimidating snarling coming from Aro would definitely spook the monsters if not flat out scare them. All that was left to do was wait.

The appearance of another beast let alone the alpha male of one enraged the rammarus’s alpha male and the Rammarus alpha male let out a warning howl of his own to show that he wasn’t afraid of Aro and the other effect of the howl was to challenging Aro to a fight. If either Aro or Iwamichi made a move after or before the howl the other males and females would start making a wide crescent shaped circle in order to trap the alpha male, Aro, and Iwamichi in the middle as well as giving them a huge circle to battle in. this circle was roughly 150 ft. in diameter. This allows Aro, Iwamichi, and the alpha male to fight to their hearts content without endangering the females or the infant Rammarus in their fight. The alpha male has not moved but is running its right leg on the ground such as what a bull would do. It would seem that the alpha male is revving up for an attack but will Aro and Iwamichi take the bait? Regardless if Aro or Iwamichi move to run from the circle and get in proximity of one of the child Rammarus then the female Rammarus will join in the fight and it will be a hard battle to win for Aro and Iwamichi. What now will Aro and Iwamichi do? Will they stay and fight or will they try and make a break for it and let the village be demolished? {stats and traits} Traits: Musclebound 3 loyal 3 (Its guild is its herd)

So, upon arriving at the village Iwa and the other guy immediately started for the leader of the village to ask him some questions. As she expected, the "guards" in front of the entrance to the chief's hut did not look cut out for their job. She noticed as they walked by that they both left foul excrement on the ground under their feet. How disgusting. Then again, I wasn't expecting anything better from a village like this. Their conversation with the chieftain or captain or whatever he was called didn't last long either. He said a couple lines about the beasts, thanking them for coming to accept their job request and such.
The other guy didn't stick around for long. Iwamichi tried to linger longer in order to get some more vital information from the chieftain, but she saw it was pointless in the end. The beasts sensed their presence or something because by some strange coincidence, there they were outside the village. It was the whole gang too. Children, males, females-all wanted to get a part of the action. A pack this large did not look too enticing for a fight. She was pondering their first move when the other guy started for her. He grew hairy and large, massive and bold, loud and snarling. So, he's going to turn into one of these creatures himself? Well, I kind of already guessed he was nothing more than a savage brute.
Maybe he wanted to exert some form of dominance with this flashy show. Whatever he was trying to do, it seemed the others took it as a challenge, to the head boss itself. Of course, the pack's alpha male snarled and reared its fangs at Iwa and the other guy. Backing up, the females and the children made a huge circle around them. Basically, it was an old fashioned duel, probably to the death. Both the other guy and the alpha were trying to put on demonstrations of power-one, by roaring really loudly and the other, by stomping his foot over the ground. If the alpha was planning on charging, it might not bode well for Iwa. She didn't know how fast the other guy was, and she was by no means slow, but she didn't want to take risky chances.
The best thing to do was probably attack. Obviously, the other beasts were giving them room to fight, and if they won, maybe the other beasts would bow to their wishes. Besides, escaping was not an option. They accepted this mission;they would do it. What would they look like if they ran back with nothing to show for it? Pitiful. She hoped that they weren't earth types because her attacks were definitely weak to that certain type. If she had stayed with the village elder longer, she might have known. Neither her lightning style magic, nor her fire whip would deal much damage to the alpha since they both have a natural weakness to earth. However, she was not alone. Maybe that "companion" of hers would know more than she did. She certainly wasn't going to ask him though and show him that she had no previous knowledge of these things.
The other guy was definitely strong, so he would be able to take most of the work and the damage. All she had to do was supplement a little strike just to make sure his attacks didn't fall short in any way. In that case, Iwa had two choices:just run up and hit the stupid beast in the head or use a lightning strike to at least do some worthwhile damage. Although the latter would cost her a bit of stamina, she was not the type to just charge into a battle, nor to use a melee strike of all things. Breathing deeply, she focused on the air around her and the particles of the air. They all had a charge; she could sense them here. Gathering her soul and the charges around her, she created a dark cloud above the alpha's head.
Hopefully, the other guy would see what she was starting and make sure nothing interfered with her preparation. This spell could sometimes take a while. She brought a huge thunderbolt crashing down upon its head. {15 x .5 = 8 damage} After she attacked, she yelled to her partner, "Go on, follow up with another attack and finish him. I'm sure you can do that, right? I don't know how much damage I will be able to do, so I can only loosely support you. I'll remain back here if you need me." The other guy probably would not acknowledge her, or he would just give her a glare. Whatever, it's not like he was the brains of this operation. It rested on her to figure things out, so naturally he would just have to listen to her eventually.

Sometimes when dealing with animals, you had to become an animal yourself. The herd of Rammarus simply up and left, creating a circle so wide that they were barely visible in the distance. This was perfectly alright, because the head honcho, the alpha male, was out in the open and preparing to charge. The big 'un pawed the ground, snorting like a bull, ready to try to beat down the challenger to his domain. A dark cloud started to form over his head as the short girl started to mutter, and as Aro looked on at the beast, a bolt of lightning leapt out of the sky to strike it in the face.
This was Aro's chance. Still in the form of a beast, he dashed forwards, quickly closing the gap to just five feet. The bolt of lightning would occupy the creature, and though it wasn't terribly effective, a bolt of light to the face would be a bit intimidating, especially for a creature of such a simple mind. At the low mind of 5, the creature could be considered mentally handicapped by any and all forms of the designation, completely based on instinct and basic natural tendencies. As a result, magic would be incomprehensible to the monster, and a being who could bend nature to its will could be considered a god.
In that split second of shock and awe, Aro's purple skinned arm was raised, tribarreled gun in hand, to destroy the beast. Moving at a speed of 16, the Rammarus would be completely unable to track Aro's movements, for as it perceived Aro at one place, he was already two steps ahead. The first crack of the gun would ring out, the bullet going at a speed of 25, now quintupling the speed at which the beast could reasonably comprehend. The small round projectile would traverse that five feet faster than a blink of the Rammarus' eye, before penetrating said eye. {20 damage}
The last five feet of distance was closed, and the gun was placed at the beast's forehead. "You're pathetic" The simple brain was blown to pieces by the following bullet, and the beast crashed to the ground. {20 damage -deceased Monster} With a roar, Aro let all of the surrounding Rammarus know that he was, in fact, the true Alpha Male. He was to be served, or fled from. Either way, to the simple minded beasts, this village was his territory, and he was not to be messed with. They were not to destroy the buildings, or cause havoc what so ever.
The beast form was no longer necessary, so it dissipated like dust scattering from Aro's body, leaving him standing there, his clothes unaltered. Reaching into his backpack, he pulled out a small glass orb. Scraping off bits of the slain monster, Aro plunged his hand into the beast's body, pulling out vital organs that beat with the essence of Earth. Filling up the capsule to his content with the stuffs, he then packed it away, taking the head too, and walked back into the village. Iwamichi could follow if she wished. If she had something better to do, then she was free to do it.

So it was going to be a standoff or what would appear to be one before Iwamichi shot a lightning bolt at the Rammarus. Now funny thing with lightning it likes to strike the highest point or the most conductive thing in its area of effect. Since nothing on the Rammarus was super conductive it would go for the “wings” of the creature since the bolt originated from above it. This however didn’t happen because it wasn’t just ordinary lighting. It was a lightning bolt that magically appeared only a few feet above the Rammarus’s head so it indeed strikes the top of the Rammarus’s head. (8 damage head + 10% speed reduction for one post).
The Rammarus wasn’t blinded however because its eyes are not without eyelids and the lids cover it from the top not allowing the light to hit the eyes. Plus the eyes are on the sides of the head and more towards the front. Since the bolt wasn’t specified to be at the tip of the head it actually hit the middle of the head which doesn’t allow for the Rammarus to be blinded. However the bolt does make it jolt and it activates its charge (-5 stamina). Now this charge is done at the same time Aro starts running.
So let’s talk about the physics on this one to show why Aro would more than likely be hit in the chest and most probably flying backwards and falling on the ground. If the distance is only 15 feet and Aro and the Rammarus start running that the same time then they would meet about at the halfway distance if they had the same speed. Now Aro’s speed is 16 where the Rammarus’s speed is 27 this means that the Rammarus is almost twice as fast as Aro so they would meet not at the 7.5 feet but at 5 foot mark from where Aro and Iwamichi was standing. Neither of Aros gunshots would go off since he tried to shoot at the 10 foot mark from where he started and not the 5 foot mark with a rushing Rammarus coming at him. If the charge hits it would do (43 damage from charge). Now since the attack is coming so fast at him he would be less likely of dodging from it.
If he does somehow dodge out of the way or if the attack hits and he is flown backward since the Rammarus is 9000 lbs the charge would keep going and strike at Iwamichi who is then only 5 feet away. If the charge hits her then it would be the same amount of damage. after the charge either goes through or doesn't the Rammarus keeps going and starts to turn back around. the charge deactivates when the Rammarus starts turning back around. This would all happen as well has Aro possibly getting stomped on by two of the feet of the Rammarus which if it’s successful the damage would be ( 35 melee attack * 2 ). -3 stamina (normal attack) -5 stamina ( charge) 12/20 Stamina left Hp: head 37/45
