Lore:The Plovak people are a semi-nomadic race of sentient monsters. They are humanoid lizard creatures that live in the deserts of Fiore and elsewhere. They are ruled by a King and led by a General, the King having veto power over the General’s decisions. The Monarchy is not hereditary, but is held by the strongest Plovak at the time of the former King’s death or old age. There are two main institutions of the Plovak people, not actual buildings but more so schools of teaching. These are the Academy and the Army. The Academy teaches the ways of the sands, and focuses on the elemental forces abundant in the sands. The gifted Jasterica, the common people, are made into student novices before selecting a school within the Academy. Upon graduating, these novices have mastered either fire, lightning, or earth. Those that go on to master all three become teachers, though these are few and far between. The current King, Rex, is of the Academy, and is rumored to have gone beyond even the magic of the Academy sensei. The Army trains Jasterica to fight, whether by beast or bow or sword. The inductees are low in rank, however they have much more variability in their growth possibilities. There are three schools of the Army; Rider, Archer, and Warrior. The Riders harness the less sentient lizards of the desert to take into battle, the Archers hit their targets from afar with all sorts of elemental arrows, and the warriors charge into battle with swords that bend to their will. After mastering one path, the soldier has two choices. They can specialize in that path, or they can choose to learn another path as well, growing in versatility and strength. These highly specialized soldiers make the Army a feared group in battle. The current General, Nadrz, has gone beyond that growth to master and adapt to all three paths. The Army and the Academy are at constant rivalry. The Army may have the specialization needed to be the stronger of the two, however the current King is of the Academy, and thus the Academy gets much more favor and privilege than the Army. The General and King are in constant rivalry, as Nadrz is the older brother of the two. Nadrz is rumored to want the throne, but does submit to Rex’s current rule. General Appearance: The Vedec are the novices of the Academy. They wear long grey robes that signify their honor of the privilege to study under the masters of the sands. These robes have no hoods yet, and simply cover up the bare scale that the common plovak walks around in, as a form of distinction.

Typical Behavior:A Vedec wouldn’t be where they were if they didn’t love to study and learn. They are constantly engrossed in a book of some sort, or training under the Sensei in a particular element. Those who do not select a school of training after the first month of tutelage are cast out of the Academy and none from their lineage may ever join it again, thus they pour over arcane texts to try to find which one fits them best.

Upon graduation, their robes are given a hood, which allows them to better blend into the sands as well as the human settlements if they wish.

Typical Behavior: The Poziar are typically hot headed, from the aggressive training methods that they went through in the Academy. They’re reckless and extremely energetic, often quite destructive. The rare few Poziar that have teacher material are much more reserved and have control over their intense passions.

General Appearance: The Skala are graduates of Earth. Their formerly grey robes have been dyed brown, nearly the exact color of the sands of the desert. The Skala wear no adornment on their clothes, preferring to stay hidden with the assistance of the hood that was attached when they graduated.

Typical Behavior: The Skala are extremely reserved, stoic beings. They slip in and out of conversations, generally unseen until they speak up, if they do so choose to speak. They rarely get worked up about anything, travelling from village to village as peacekeepers and mediators. The rare few Skala that have teacher material are capable of becoming extremely passionate about things that they care about.

General Appearance:The Ucitel are not only graduates of one particular school, but have mastered the other two schools as well, and as such, are worthy of teaching novices. Their clothes are very ornate for someone of their status, as they are considered some of the highest ranking members of the society. Their robes are hooded, with a mixture of reds, yellows, and browns in an ornate and arcane manner. There are embroidered golden flames, hanging white tassels that look like bolts, as well as a metal symbol on the back that looks like a mountain.

Typical Behavior:There are very few Ucitel in the society, and as a result they are varied in behavior. However, for the most part they are balanced in both energy, passion, and stoicism. These highly ranked members are always busy teaching new novices and training graduates as well. There are generally only five Ucitel maximum in any given village at a time, so they are spread pretty thin and tend to be irritable when trying to relax.

General Appearance: Rex is the spitting image of an alpha male. He towers over the other Plovak, standing at 6’ 7”, and is a great bit bulkier than them, though it’s lean muscle. His scales are an emerald green from being able to have them polished them daily, and he spends so much time indoors that the rugged sands do not generally wear them down. His ears and nose are pierced with golden studs, and the ridges of his spine are coated in smooth polish.
Clothing: Rex is the King of the Plovak people. As a result, his robe from when he was an Ucitel has been upgraded immensely. So, I haven't had a chance to look through the actual stats or abilities on these guys yet, but I have one main concern just in the lore. These don't sound like monsters at all. This sounds like a non-human NPC faction. The main reason I say this is that they are sentient, and clearly have a culture. Sentient monsters are one thing (a thing that's generally limited to higher-ranked monsters), but you've developed an entire culture and story for them. That doesn't really fit the bill for monsters. Do you have any objection to just making these guys into an NPC faction rather than monsters? The monster template could still be used for generic Plovaks, but you've even called them "people" in the thread title.

I can help as well since the other monsters are done to the point were all the finished ones have been accepted and moved and the others need to still be modified.
