An evening and most of another day had passed since both Razia and Raygin had completed their first official guild job. After a bit of discussion, Raygin had decided to come and join Angel Wing. Razia had led him back to Warmwell, the village that held Angel Wing’s base of operations. The guild operated out of an old church on the outskirts of town. The entire building was hewn of stone. It felt ancient and powerful, as if the building itself could crush anyone who entered it. While the building itself wasn’t capable of destroying anyone, the man who stood inside was certainly capable of that feet.
At the end of the sanctuary stood a lone man. He was tall, thin, and old. Despite his age, he still had a very youthful look in his eyes and his body looked to be in outstanding shape. Silver hair flowed from his head, and his garb appeared to be a mix between that of a knight and a priest. He noticed the two that had stepped into the guild hall and called out to them. “I see you’ve returned Razia… and with a stranger in tow.” His voice was deep… and cold. His brow furrowed for a moment in concentration before he continued. “He is no threat, so he may enter this place.” At this, Razia began to walk down the aisles of pews, and motioned for Raygin to do the same. As they advanced, the man spoke again. “As Razia has no doubt informed you stranger, I am Brennius Arosas Amatus, the Master of Angel Wing. If you have returned, Razia, that must mean the job is done. Are you ready for the C Class test?”
“I am ready Master.” “What is Justice?” Razia took a moment, for she was taken aback by the question. She had expected some kind of combat based test, for it was not public knowledge what would be required to advance through the ranks. After a moment, she answered. “Justice is the destruction of evil, and the protection of the weak. Justice is about more than the law, it’s about doing what’s right. As a servant of justice, I fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. I train myself to become stronger so that I may better serve the innocent citizens of Fiore. Justice is not just a code, but a way of life. By following a just way of life, I ensure the prosperity of Fiore, and the good moral standing of all who live within her borders. Justice is not just an idea… I am Justice.”
Brennius chuckled slightly at Razia’s response. He had taught her well in their short time together. He gave Razia a quick nod, which she knew meant her answer was satisfactory. She was now officially a C-Class Mage of Angel Wing. “Well spoken Razia Brasima. And what of you stranger? You look strong enough that you do not require our help, so I can only imagine you are here to join Angel Wing. If you can tell me what justice means to you, I can instate you as a C-Class Mage of Angel Wing, the same as Razia. What say you?”
