THE POLL SHOULD READ ITEMS ONLY, NOT WEAPONS ONLY
Suggestion 1: Item Spells Revisited
There have been a handful of complaints that low-class items only can get one spell on them, and the rules for that are kinda arbitrary right now. I was thinking that this could be improved up, and made more in line with how some other systems function. What if items were assigned a number of "Enchantment Points" that could then either be spent on traits or spells. I figure that items would have 10/20/40/65/100 enchantment points per, with a hard cap of 50 of those points being spent on traits, which would keep it in line with the current limit. Weapons still wouldn't have traits. Types of spells available would still be kept as is. Spells would cost 10 points per class. This would mean you could get multiple spells on a weapon, but they would all be weaker. As per the current practice, spells could be set to scaling for free. That bit isn't currently written down to my knowledge, but that's been the practice.
Suggestion 2: NPC Aid in Threads
The idea of NPCs coming with a character on a mission has been brought up once or twice. I figure this could potentially be implemented for a penalty to both the thread difficulty rating and the money obtained. NPCs would get a fair share of the loot. Usually half, but the NPCs may argue for more if they feel they are doing all the work, or they are especially greedy. As far as the EXP penalty goes, the thread difficulty would be lowered to whatever the thread difficulty would be for the strongest character in the thread, with a minimum decrease in difficulty of one rank. You would be limited to one NPC brought along per RPC.
